Update: Bison is running again

Login nodes are restored.

a hardware failure on Bison

bison.westgrid.ca had a disk controller failure and is down at the moment. Other login nodes are not affected, except the “grex.westgrid.ca” which is an alias name ttah might lead to bison. A workaround is to use to the new login node yak.hpc.umanitoba.ca or tatanka.westgrid.ca for logging in and transferring files.
